Bunker survey is a quantitative examination of fuel oil delivered to a vessel from a supplier. A Bunker Survey is a commonly used loss control tool to track significant variances of cargo quantities between the supplier and receiver. Since bunker fuel is often the largest financial cost driver to the operation of a vessel, a Bunker Survey is considered a critical service to ensure correct quantities of fuel are delivered.

The bunker survey is required for owner or charter in order to calculate the exact bunker´s on board at the time of vessel’s delivery/redelivery.
